Neechie-Itas was adapted from Jo’s stage play into digi-theatre and produced 100% virtually using Stream Yard. Daniel Leeman Smith, filmographer and digital designer, enhanced the storytelling with still photography, SFX, b-roll cut-aways, original songs from the iconic female drum group Mankillers and more. The Neechies made their International debut during the Vancouver Fringe Online Festival in September, 2021. Since then, Neechie-Itas has streamed on-demand in National and International digital festivals and curated events.
The cast features: Matthew C. Cross, Thomas Cummings, Carolyn Dunn, Summer Rae Morgan, Maya Torralba and Svmmer Wesley. The production stage manager was Kateri Daffron, Sarah dAngelo produced and directed. Filmed and edited by Daniel Leeman Smith.

We are thrilled to return the Neechies to Oklahoma where it all began as a featured virtual event during Theatre Crude’s Fringe Festival September 15-24, 2022. Neechie-Itas will screen to a live audience Monday, September 19th @ 7pm in THE JEWEL BOX THEATRE 3700 N Walker Ave OKC, OK 73118. After that, Neechie-Itas will be available on-demand on Theatre Crude’s YouTube channel through the end of the fringe festival, September 24, 2022.
